Welcome to the ClassesForMasses Home Page
Welcome to the
ClassesForMasses project home page! Here you'll find all the information necessary to
understand and participate in the project. Many thanks to the wonderful people at SourceForge for making this possible. Also, due thanks to the
supporters of the free software for making free software
the greatest thing since free food!! |

It's been a few days
since I started development on this project. (BTW, this is a perfect time to join!) This
project was born to support the development of the Kalki
project. Kalki is destined to be an open-source, object-oriented SNMP agent and a toolkit
to enable rapid sub-agent development. Soon, I could the see the advantages of having a
cross-platform library for open-source development. If this dream comes true, perhaps,
we'll see more open source projects that span multiple platforms. |

In one line, CFM is what
MFC isn't! But, saying just that would make it as confusing as MFC itself. So, I'm
gonna say more. Looking closely, the acronym CFM is the formed by reversing the letters of
the acronym MFC and to that extent it tries to undo the damage done by MFC. MFC does have
it's advantages too, and CFM makes it a point not to throw those away. Surely, MFC among
others provided the motivation and inspiration for this project. |

Before it gets too late,
CFM is a portable, efficient C++ class library which will help developers develop elegant
and error free Un*x/Windoze apps rapidly. A standard cross platform library translates
into lesser effort in developing, maintaining and testing. The advantages are visible the
most when you keep using it from one project to other to another. |
